VIP Airport Service
Riptide Charters understands your time is valuable. That’s why we offer complementary VIP airport pickup service to those charters that prefer to fly privately. Riptide Charters can accommodate all your personal air travel needs.
Michael J. Smith Field is operated by the Carteret County-Beaufort Airport Authority and offers state-of-the-art facilities, including a 5,000-foot runway, full-service FBO, and amenities designed to meet the needs of pilots and passengers. The airport has two asphalt runways, with the primary runway being 8-26, which is 5,003 feet long and has an Edge Lighting System.
Key services include:
- Fueling: Full-service fueling with both Jet A and AV gas.
- Aircraft Services: Tie-down and overnight hangar availability.
- Maintenance: Offers both airframe and power plant repair services, including major repairs.
- Passenger Amenities: A terminal building with a lounge, kitchenette, vending machines, restrooms, and a conference room. They also have a pilot lounge/snooze room.
- Other Services: Catering, aviation accessories, pilot supplies, computerized weather, and internet access.

Riptide Charters can provide your fishing club or private group with a full range of teaching services. From a hands on rigging session for a small group to a large venue PowerPoint presentation we can create an instructional seminar customized to meet your needs.
