Capt. Terry Nugent...
Riptide Charters is a fully insured, IGFA Certified and USCG licensed charter operation with over 25 years of experience in light tackle fishing along the Massachusetts coast. Capt. Terry Nugent has been featured in numerous magazine articles, television shows and seminars including the Saltwater Sportsman National Seminar Series.
Being centrally located in Bourne, MA allows Captain Terry to put you on the fish no matter where they move. Remaining mobile, Captain Terry Nugent is capable of launching from one of over a dozen ramps on or around the Cape to ensure that you spend less time taking a "boat ride" and more time fishing where the fish are.
While we don’t mind taking the occasional fish home for the grill, we encourage "catch and release" and hope to preserve our great fishery on the Cape and Islands. Remember...photos last forever, resources don't.

About the Boat
Riptide Charters has pulled out all the stops by introducing the latest in cutting-edge fishing boats: The new Contender 33T!!! What ever you have in mind for your charter, our new boat can handle it.
Knowledgeable anglers know how hard-core and fishing-oriented Contender boats are. Built on a brand-new high-performance hull, the 33T has a 9-foot, 8-inch beam and a 34-foot, 5-inch L.O.A. This commanding vessel easily handles the ultra quiet twin 275 HP Supercharged Mercury Verado 4 Strokes.
When choosing your charter, consider what a larger and more capable boat can do for you. If the waters get rough on the day of your trip, a larger faster boat gives you many more options. This can often be the difference between a day of fishing and a day of catching. Comfort is another factor to consider. During the summer the winds around Cape Cod pick up every afternoon. This makes the ride home rough and tedious in a smaller boat. Our new Contender 33T quickly and comfortably runs through rough water that keeps lesser boats at the dock.
The boat features state of the art Raymarine E Series Color electronics including Navionics Platinum Charts. The electronics include fully integrated Radar, Chart Plotter and Fish Finder. With safety being paramount, the most advanced safety equipment is featured, including an ACR EPIRB (Satellite Rescue Beacon) and a Revere 6 Man Liferaft.
The huge flush decks means there is plenty of room for fly-fishing and fully padded gunnels means you can comfortably fight the big ones. The boat also features a stand up head for your convenience.

We will provide you with top quality light tackle from St. Croix rods and Penn Reels.
We will also provide you with premium fly-fishing equipment from St. Croix rods and Tibor reels equipped with premium RIO flylines.
Riptide Charters also features a full complement of stand-up offshore gear for tuna trolling and shark fishing including Penn International 30VSW and 70VS 2 speed reels matched to Custom Calstar Offshore rods.
And as always, there is plenty of room onboard for your own favorite rods and reels if you choose to bring them.
